It was revealed earlier this week that Slayer have teamed up with Scion to record a new track to be given out via Scion A/V. In a trio of videos, Slayer’s Tom Araya and Kerry King were shown in the studio working on the song in the first clip, testing the song in their cars (Scions, natch) and heading to ESP in the second, and checking out Kerry King’s reptile collection in the third. Of course Kerry King has a reptile collection. The clip’s description says that the song will be called “When the Stillness Comes.” No word yet on when it will be available, but you get to hear a few snippets of the song in the videos. It’s a little off-putting to see that there’s no footage of their guitarist and drummer until you realize that they’re not Jeff Hanneman and Dave Lombardo any more.
