We don’t write much about AFI on this site. In fact, the last time we wrote about the band all was concerning a crappy album cover from 2009. But this time we have more reason than usual to write about the band. Frontman Davey Havok and guitarist Jade Puget have gone and started a new straight edge hardcore project called XTRMST. There aren’t many details about the project just now, but there is a four song demo available for streaming. If you’re wondering how Havok and Puget can just go ahead and make a “straight edge band” when straight edge is more of a lifestyle than a music genre, it turns out they both in fact live a straight edge lifestyle. Who knew?
