Many influential hardcore and metalcore bands have come out of the Washington D.C. scene. One current band making the D.C. metal community proud is Darkest Hour who just released their first album on Sumerian Records (and eighth overall). We spoke to guitarist Mike Schleibaum during Mayhem Fest’s stop in Camden, NJ earlier this month, and while we mostly spoke about the group’s recently released self-titled album, we also got him to name his top five favorite fellow D.C. groups.
