Trivium have come a long way in 15 years, evolving from a Metallica-inspired thrashy metalcore unit to a modern-day Metallica-inspired radio-ready hard rock band that still shreds. The band’s seventh album, Silence in the Snow, will be out this Friday (2). It’s not like you haven’t had a chance to hear some of the album before, though. First the melodic title track was released. It was then followed by “Blind Leading the Blind,” which was accompanied by a hysterical video. Then the first proper radio single, “Until the World Goes Cold,” came out. If you listened to SiriusXM’s ‘Octane’ channel, you got a chance to hear the full album over the weekend. If not, well, you can just listen below.

Also, if you’ll notice above, the band played New York’s tiny Saint Vitus bar last Thursday. The above three songs were played, which you can see in the above video, which was shot by Pit Full of Shit. They’re also playing the three new songs on the 2015 HardDrive Live Tour, which is underway now.You can catch those dates here.
