Billy Howerdel teased it on Monday with a tweet that simply read “tonight.” Maynard James Keenan suggested there might be new music for them to learn before their tour kicks off later this month, and “The Doomed” was teased on Friday. Tonight at Midnight, we got it – the first new song from A Perfect Circle in 13 years, “The Doomed.” The song, anchored by propulsive drums, Keenan’s distinctive cvocals, and plenty of stop/start passages, is an instant breath of fresh air for rock and active rock radio, and you’ll probably be hearing it as a staple of the band’s set moving forward. We’ll be hearing more next year when the band’s fourth album is released, but give this a listen now.
