cobalt slow foreverAmerican black metal has been very solid for a long time and bands like Cobalt are the perfect example of the quality it possess. Cobalt has been a duo project helmed by multi-instrumentalist Erik Wunder and Phil McSorley in charge of the vocals, but the couple had many issues down the road and finally went their separate ways in 2014. Last year, Wunder was joined by ex-Lord Mantis and ex-Abigail Williams Charlie Fell and the new pair have released their first track together, and the first track from the band in seven years.

Cobalt will released their 4th record titled Slow Forever on March 26th via Profound Lore Records and we can hear the first single “Beast Whip” which premiered on NPR.

If this song sounds exactly what you like on your black metal, you can pre-order the upcoming double album now at the Profound Lore website.

Black Metal enthusiast from Los Angeles who thought was a good idea to grab a camera and shoot underground shows for the hell of it. Pseudo-writer with little to no expectations of ever winning a Pulitzer but totally down to write about your unknown band if it's good to my ears. I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands and attending Satanic music shows every now and then.
