It took eight years for Anthrax’s impressive comeback Worship Music to be released after 2003’s We’ve Come For You All. Of course a lot of that was due to their vocalist situation, but it doesn’t look like another personnel change will keep the band from hitting the studio for another album. Rhythm guitarist Scott Ian is more than stoked that the band, with Shadows Fall guitarist Jon Donais in place of departed axeman Rob Caggiano, are working on new material. He Tweeted Sunday:

But he began Tweeting Saturday about his buddies, drummer Charlie Benante and bassist Frank Bello, coming to his pad to start the collaboration.

Anthrax’s new lineup features Shadows Fall guitarist Jon Donais who joined unofficially after Rob Caggiano left Anthrax for Volbeat in January. Ian has been quoted as saying Donais has safely “passed the audition.”
