Earlier this week, metal legend and drummer of Nunslaughter, The Spawn of Satan and Schnauzer, Jim “Sadist” Konya, suffered a stroke while he was at work and is currently hospitalized at the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH.

The drummer, who just recently performed this weekend at Hell’s Headbash with the band Gravewurm, has been active for over 25 years in the metal community and many bands have reacted to the news, leading to the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to help Konya pay for his future medical bills. The campaign double its goal in less than 24 hrs and it’s still active for those who still wish to collaborate with the cause.

According to the recent updates provided by Nunslaughter’s Facebook page, Konya is in stable condition and is making progress in his recovery, thanks to the quick response on calling 911 when the incident happened.

If you have ever met Konya in the past, you have probably received some CD’s, shirts, merch or something of that sort from him and now, it would be time to help him out in something that matters. To donate to the cause, head over to the GoFundMe campaign website here.
