The Faceless have a busy year ahead of them, with the Metal Alliance tour kicking off next week and a stint on this year’s Summer Slaughter Tour to follow. Before hitting the road, though, the technical death metal group have gone through another lineup change.

This time, it’s guitarist Steve Jones parting ways with The Faceless. Though an official announcement as to why he is no longer in the band, guitarist Michael Keene confirmed the news as well as who Jones’ replacement will be via the following tweet:

“Farewell Steve Jones. We had a long ride, my brother. Welcome the amazing Wes Hauch to The Faceless. He is a shredder.”

Most recently, the band replaced singer Derek Rydquist with Geoff Ficco, and before that had gone through their fair share of bassists and drummers. At the moment, though, it’s unclear with Wes Hauch is a permanent or temporary replacement in The Faceless, though it would appear to be the former. Best of luck to Hauch on his new gig with The Faceless. You can check out video of the guitarist auditioning for Threat Signal after the jump.
