In October, The Faceless lost half their band when bassist Evan Brewer and drummer Alex Rüdinger quit, forcing the band to drop off a European tour with Protest the Hero. Now Lambgoat is reporting that vocalist Geoff Ficco has left the band as well.
Ficco was very diplomatic in his departure statement:
“After nearly four years with the band, I have decided to leave The Faceless to pursue new opportunities. Thank you to the fans of the band, as well as the past and present members of The Faceless, for the unforgettable experience. One of the projects I will now have more time to focus on is my black metal band Ys, which just released an album in November. Thanks everybody.”
Ficco had been with the band for three years, appearing on the band’s 2012 album, Autotheism, which continued the streak of a new singer for each new album. Now only guitarist and lone founding-member Michael “Machine” Keene remains.
