reynoldsAfter eight years and four albums, Long Island hardcore band Stray from the Path have replaced their drummer. Dan Bourke joined the band in 2008, playing on Make Your Own HistoryRising SunAnonymous and last year’s Subliminal Criminals. There’s no reason as to why he’s exiting the band, but he’ll be playing his final show with the band next month. Replacing him will be Craig Reynolds, who’s logged time with The HAARP Machine. In a post on their Facebook page, the band write about the drummer change:

Stray From The Path would like to welcome long time friend and ridiculous drummer, Craig Reynolds, to our team. Dan has decided to move on and has stepped down as the drummer of Stray. Craig has been with us this on the STYG European tour, the chemistry on and off stage was present right away and we cannot wait to bring this new life into the band. Lots of exciting stuff coming up soon for us. Tour coming up in North America this spring and soon hitting countries we have never been to before.

Dan brought this band to another level 6 or 7 years ago, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without him. As excited we are for the new era with Craig, we will miss Dan and forever be grateful for the dedication and exceptional drumming he gave the 3 of us and all of our supporters, world wide, over 4 albums. Dan will be playing his final show with us at SOUTH BY SO WHAT this March. Roll out and show him some love one more time.

The band also posted a video of their new drummer Reynolds playing “First World Problem Child.”
