Do you hate Mondays, but love Metallica? Get ready for your favorite new comic strip. Chicago artist Jimmy Two Hands, the artist behind Danziggy (yes, that’s a thing), last month revealed his newest creation, Hetfield. If that sounds like a combination between Garfield the cat and James Hetfield, then you’re correct. Garfield has the Metallica frontman’s goatee, and is given to quoting Metallica songs. Jon in this case is “Lars,” complete with receding hairline, and Odie the dog looks vaguely similar to Kirk Hammett.
So far there are only a handful of strips drawn, but they’re definitely a must for fans of Metallica and Garfield, of which there are probably many. Here’s a few that we’ve liked so far:
