Yesterday, rumors started to spread that Korn would be touring with dubstep artists this Fall in support of their new dubstep album The Path Of Totality. Well today it’s been confirmed that Korn will indeed be touring ballrooms starting November 3 in Boston with DJs Datsik and Downlink, as well as Dub-rockers Dope D.O.D. So far, only cities and dates have been revealed, with more shows expected to be added.
In addition, Korn confirmed that The Path Of Totality will hit stores on December 6 (contrary to previous reports that it would come out on November 15). The band also revealed the cover artwork to their experimental dubstep album (which can be seen off to the top). Collaborations with DJs like Skrillex, Excision, Datsik, Noisia, Kill the Noise, and 12th Planet will reportedly still appear on the album. The special edition version will reportedly not only include bonus tracks, but also a DVD of Korn’s crop circle performance. Too bad they didn’t film that performance while they were actually working on the dubstep album. A crop field at night would be an interesting place to do ecstasy while raving with glow sticks to the sounds of WUB WUB WUB.
Tickets for the Path Of Totality (P.O.T.) Tour will go on sale to the public this weekend, while a special pre-sale will be available starting today (September 28) at noon EST. You can check out the dates and cities announced so far, as well as a live video the band made for “Get Up,” after the jump.
