We caught up with Tony Smith, guitarist of the Ohio alternative metal band Yesterday’s Hero, which recently dropped their debut album, Ways To Hate. Smith discussed his Australian Shepherd, Myles, who enjoys attending the band’s rehearsal sessions.

 

Tell us more about your pet(s) and their names? 

Hi this is Tony,I have an Australian Shepherd named Myles!! He is the most loving kindest sole I have ever known!

 

 

Have you ever taken your pet on tour?

No, he is the family dog!

 

 

Who looks after your pet while on the road?

My Wife and sons Havic and Riot.

 

 

What’s your pet’s favorite song or album?

He loves Yesterday’s Hero! He comes to our rehearsals and lays right in front of the drum set!!

 

 

How did you introduce your pet to metal? 

Rehearsal is at our home. He forced his way into the rehearsal room and introduced himself!!

 

 

What animal charity means most to you? 

We support our local humane society. My wife Amanda Jo worked for about 10 years before leaving her job as director to start our family.
