In 1992, Ozzy Osbourne announced he was retiring following his No More Tours tour (get the pun?). The tour got lots of attention, and even lead to a Black Sabbath reunion (which ended up destroying the Dio reunion). And after the release of 1993’s Live & Loud live album, Ozzy called it quits… until he came back in 1995 with a new album (Ozzmosis) and a tour dubbed Retirement Sucks. Say what you will about Ozzy’s current condition on stage, but it ended up being a good thing that Ozzy’s retirement was short lived. After all, if Ozzy stay retired, Ozzfest may never have come into existence.
