In 2000, KISS retired, never to be heard from again. Oh wait, that didn’t happen. However, the band did announce their KISS Farewell Tour, which they wrapped up in 2001. Since then, they’ve remained on the road almost constantly. That tour, however, was the last one to feature Peter Criss and Ace Frehley. Since they “retired,” the band has released two albums, 2009’s Sonic Boom and 2012’s Monster. But even after Paul and Gene shuffle off this mortal coil or retire for real, you might not have seen the last of KISS. Paul Stanley said in an interview a while back that he could envision the band continuing without any original members of the band.
