Propagandhi, At Peace (Epitaph):
The Canadian punks release their first album since 2017, with singer/guitarist Chris Hannah saying that these new songs “reflect more despair than 30 years ago when we had similar perspectives, but with strands of hope and naivete. Now it’s the existential dread of eking out a life worth living in this completely failed society…”
PUP, Who Will Look After The Dogs? (Little Dipper/Rise):
Taking an approach similar to their debut LP, the Canadian pop-punk band’s fifth album is full of raw, one-take recordings that find them caring more about attitude than perfection.
Nightfall, Children of Eve (Season Of Mist):
The Greek extreme metal band’s 11th studio effort is described as “their darkest and most epic creation yet.” Said frontman Efthimis Karadimas, “The sound is massive. The choruses are huge. And there’s a message that comes through. It’s an album about how we come through pain, how we live with pain, and how we die in pain.”
Puddle of Mudd, Kiss the Machine (Pavement):
According to frontman Wes Scantlin, the post-grunge band “wanted to mix and match different styles together, have fun, and just create something fresh” on their seventh studio effort, saying “It’s all about pushing boundaries and breaking out of the same old vibe.”
