April 25, 2025 Release Highlights:
Billy Idol, Dream Into It (Dark Horse/BMG):
The punk icon releases his first album in more than a decade, which features longtime collaborator Steve Stevens and guest appearances from Avril Lavigne, Joan Jett and The Kills’ Alison Mosshart.
Ghost, Skeletá (Loma Vista):
The hard rock band’s “new frontman” Papa V Perpetua makes his debut on their sixth studio album, which is said to be their most personal to date. Said the band in a press release, the album will “render the distinct individual emotional vistas of each of its 10 songs in one-on-one fashion, at times as if in a dialogue with oneself in a mirror.”
Machine Head, UNATØNED (Nuclear Blast):
The heavy metal stalwarts release their 11th studio effort, which the band describes on social media as a “testament to momentum, an album honed to its sharpest edge, forged on creative discipline and the hunger to push forward. It drips with melancholy melodies, and yet hammers with bludgeoning riffs, soars with anthemic sing-a-longs of love-lost and sadness, to bellowing power and undeniable confidence.”
Luke Spiller, Love Will Probably Kill Me Before Cigarettes and Wine (Big Machine Rock):
The Struts frontman branches out on his own with his debut solo album, which he describes as “a love letter to Scott Walker and Nick Cave and Serge Gainsbourg.”
Wednesday 13, Mid Death Crisis (Napalm):
The horror punk frontman’s 10th studio effort was heavily influenced by his tours celebrating the 20th anniversary of Murderdolls’ Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls, calling the new album “a fun, campy, “leave-your-brain-at-the-door” rager and a true return to his hard-rocking roots.”
DeathbyRomy, Hollywood Forever (ONErpm):
The up-and-coming dark pop-meets-industrial artist releases her debut full-length, a project created as an ode to her hometown of Los Angeles.
