April 18, 2025 Release Highlights:

Divide and Dissolve, Insatiable (Bella Union):
According to their label, the instrumental doom metal group’s fifth album “build[s] upon the genre’s trademark sludgy guitars and thundering drums with Takaiya’s deft and wondrous saxophone, adding a layer of intricacy rarely seen in doom.”

Melvins 1983, Thunderball (Ipecac):
The grunge band’s 1983 line-up releases its third album, a “bombastic” five-track piece that includes collaborations with electronic artists Void Manes and Ni Maîtres.

Chime Oblivion, Chime Oblivion (Deathgod):
The debut album from the supergroup formed by Osees’ John Dwyer and Adam & The Ants’ David Barbarossa is described by Stereogum as “teetering on the edge of weird proto-punk, hearty no-wave, and tripped-up dub.”

Mayday Parade, Sweet (Many Hats Endeavors):
The veteran pop punk band celebrate 20 years together with the release of the first part of a three part album.

Superheaven, Superheaven (Blue Grape):
Formerly known as Daylight, the alt-rockers are releasing their first album in a decade. The album is described by their label as a “towering collection that sees them pushing at their boundaries with a sense of pensive gloom.”

Lik, Necro (Metal Blade):
According to their label, the Swedish death metal band’s fourth studio effort is “packed with blood-curdling fantasy stories about war, death, zombies, world apocalypse, murder; and stacked with disgustingly-good rotten riffs.”
