Chaver, Of Gloom (BDHW)

       The German black/death metal band that received some attention recently for having the same album cover as the Doja Cat releases the album with the infamous cover. It’s the band’s third studio effort.

 

 

 

 

 

 

My Lament, The Season Came Undone (Ardua Music)

       It’s been 14 years since Belgian doom/death metal band My Lament released their debut full-length album and eight since their last EP. With The Season Came Undone, the band looks to “reach a wider audience without giving up their doom/death heritage.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Winterstorm, Everfrost (AFM Records)

       The German folk metal/power metal band release their fifth studio album, which their label describes as being full of “earworm-heavy choruses and many polyphonic vocals.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wormhole, Almost Human (Season of Mist)

       The proprietors of “tech slam” return with a new album playfully described by their label as “bigger, darker, and in this case, covered in much more pixelated space horror viscera.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Teenage Fanclub, Nothing Lasts Forever (Merge)

       The alt-rock band’s 12th studio effort is already getting high praise from critics, with Exclaim! calling it darker and more introverted than their previous works with harmonies that are still “soar sky high.”
