Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Stitched Up Heart singer Mixi as she’s been spending this time fostering kittens.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

I have been fostering kittens, writing music, painting, and making chakra jewelry.

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

I’ve been listening to a lot of Tony Robbins’ speeches lately! But a great album that came out recently is Mother by In This Moment!

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?

I have become a cupcake making machine! I’ve perfected the art of the cupcake! That and spicy garlic edamame since my sushi restaurant is closed!

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

I have been playing a ridiculous amount of World of Warcraft lately. Every time I log into the game I think to myself “Well I suppose if this is what I must do to save the world, so be it!”

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

Meditate. Focus on the positive. Keep yourself distracted and stay home!

As locations are slowly reopening, Stitched Up Heart recently visited Animal Tracks, Inc., a sanctuary for animals as they are helping to raise money on their GoFundMe, which was launched due to the aftermath of COVID-19.

The band explained:

“We get to meet a bunch of awesome animals at Animal Tracks, Inc. sanctuary & hopefully help raise money for their go fund me they started after the effects of Covid 19 have crippled their resources to feed hundreds of animals.”
