Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine: Helfró’s Ragnar – “maintain a good sleep schedule”

Posted by on May 6, 2020

Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Helfró’s Ragnar S (composition, drums, vocals), as he’s been spending this time rebuilding his Citroen AX sport rally car.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

I have been doing homework for my electrician evening class, practicing the drums and rebuilding my Citroen AX sport rally car.

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

I have been going back to albums I have not listened to for a long time. Ultimate Death Worship by Limbonic Art, Enter the Moonlight Gate by Lord belial. Fractal Possession by Abigor. Phalanx Inferna by Asmodeus. I highly recommend these!

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?

At my day job I am a radio tower climber and have to travel extensively. I am constantly eating out, sadly. I won’t lie and say I’m much of a cook at home either.

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

I just watched REC 2. I saw the first one when it came out back in 2007 and I love it. The sequel is decent but at least check out the first one, it’s awesome!

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

Drink water. Maintain a good sleep schedule. Listen to music. Call friends.

Helfro released their debut self-titled effort on April 24, 2020 via Season of Mist. Read our review here
