Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.
It’s easy to dismiss supergroups as gimmicky one-offs, but it looks like Sons of Apollo have done well for themselves in their 3 year run. Seems like all you need for a supergroup nowadays is to call Mike Portnoy and ask if he’s up to it (See also: Adrenaline Mob, Transatlantic, Flying Colors, The Winery Dogs, and Metal Allegiance). And hey, when are we getting a new Killer Be Killed album? Apart from that, it’s a pretty decent-sized list of debuts for January.
