Last month, Dave Grohl revealed plans to perform at the Sundance Film Festival on January 18 with a band of “Sound City Players” in support of his new documentary. It was already a safe bet that the band and guest appearances would be made up of appear in the film and soundtrack. But now we know who exactly will be playing with Grohl at the film festival.
Among the many guests slated to take part in the performance are Corey Taylor of Slipknot/Stone Sour, Lee Ving of Fear and Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine. Also set to appear are legends like Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty and Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, along with Grohl’s current and former bandmates in Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Them Crooked Vultures.
It’s unclear how involved each guest will be in the show. However, it’s pretty cool to think that there’s a chance of seeing Corey Taylor on the same stage as Steve Nicks. Check out a list of musicians confirmed for the performance, taking place on January 18 at the Park City Live venue in Utah. More information about purchasing tickets can be found here.
