The 55th Annual Grammy Awards are about to air on national TV. However, one award that was given out off camera was for “Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance.” And the winner of this year’s Grammy for “metal” is… Halestorm for “Love Bites (So Do I).”
This marks Halestorm’s first win and nomination at the Grammys. Many metal fans will likely ask “Wait, how did Halestorm win over Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Megadeth, Lamb Of God AND Marilyn Manson?!” Well, let’s not forget that the award is for metal AND hard rock. And while we would have loved to have seen Lamb Of God or Anthrax receive the recognition they deserved, we can name past winners of the same award who were less than deserving (we’re looking at you, Jethro Tull).
So congrats to Halestorm on the Grammy win. And we have a feeling that you’ll be winning even more awards courtesy of Revolver Magazine.
