We’ve seen clips of them in the studio, they’ve announced a tour this Summer, and now it looks like Deftones will have their new album out in September. Frontman Chino Moreno. calling into the Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter on the BBC yesterday, said he’s continuing to work on the record. In fact, the band have a tentative release date already. Set September 25th on your calendar, as that’s when Chino says they’re aiming to have the album out by:

The record as far as music has been all recorded and I am currently working on the vocals,” Chino says. “I’ve been recording from my home studio here in Oregon. Slowly but surely getting it done. It’s coming out really good, it’s another Deftones record, I feel like us reaching a little bit, getting more into the song structures, trying to challenge ourselves a little bit you know what I mean? It’s sounding good, I think it’s gonna be a great record.”

With the album slated to come out just five months from now, it’s a safe bet that in probably about 3 or so months, a single will be out there. 2015 is shaping up to be quite the year for new music.
