magrudergrindIt’s been a long time since we’ve heard from Brooklyn’s Magrudergrind. The band haven’t put out new music since 2010, and they last put out a full length in 2009. The grindcore trio have signed to Relapse for their third album, however, and just wrapped up recording a new album with Kurt Ballou producing. Given Ballou’s track record, it’s pretty much a lock that it’s going to sound great. Pig Destroyer’s Scott Hull is mastering the record, which gives them the same production team as their self-titled 2009 album. Clint Nicolas is designing the artwork. The band released a brief statement about the signing, stating:

“We are extremely stoked to join Relapse records. We look forward to eviscerating eardrums and smashing posers with our next full length.”

If you’re not familiar with the band, you can catch up by listening to their 2009 self-titled full-length here and the last material they released, a 10″ on ScionAV, here.
