Attila has released an audio-stream for the song “Horsepig,’ the second bit of music from their upcoming album, Guilty Pleasure, which comes out on November 24th.
What’s a “horsepig?” Thankfully, vocalist Chris “Fronz” Fronzak wrote a blog post explaining the title and the meaning behind the song:
“You might be thinking to yourself “what the fuck does horsepig mean” haha. To be honest, the title has nothing to do with the song, I let Blaise name this song and thats what he chose! It’s actually a pretty interesting story but I’ll get into that on another day.
Anyways, this is one of our FAVORITE tracks on the album, and personally one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written lyrically. The song is about how you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it. Your mind can be your best friend but it can also be your worst enemy. The moment you have complete mental control of your life is the moment you become limitless. You just have to stay strong and believe in yourself, because your mind can also be a very dangerous place. The two rap parts in this song are my favorite rap parts that I ever wrote. I hope you like them too!”
Long time guitarist Nate Salameh left the band in late October. A short time later, Fronz took to Twitter to defend his choice of words on the song “Proving Grounds.”
