King Diamond North American tour 2014Well, the rumors have proven to be true: King Diamond will be touring North America this fall. Granted, his slated appearance at Fun Fun Fun Fest essentially confirmed that King Diamond would be embarking on at least a mini-trek. But now we have confirmation that he’ll be doing his first full-fledge North American tour since his triple-bypass heart surgery roughly three years ago.

King Diamond will hit 18 cities on the tour before concluding at Fun Fun Fun Fest. And not only will Diamond be joined by long time band members Andy LaRocque, Mike Weed, Hal Pacino, and Matt Thompson, but he’ll also be bringing his full European festival stage show to the States this fall. Like we said, this marks his first multiple date tour of the U.S. in years/since his surgery, though the past few years have found him making his way back to the European festival circuit (and his resigning to Metal Blade at the end of 2012 and new booking agents were strong indicators that it was only a matter of time till he came back to the States).

A opener for the tour will be announced soon. Tickets will be on sale online and at box offices nationwide on Friday (June 27), while a limited edition King Diamond jacket will be available through the SHOWstubs.com fan club presale beginning tomorrow (June 24).
