Salt Lake City-based heavy rock trio Dwellers call their brand of music “gut rock.” We prefer to call it what it is – solid doomy psych-rock. If you’re a fan of melodic doom and desert rock, the band’s sophomore album, Pagan Fruit, should be right up your alley. Guitarist/vocalist Joey Toscano’s whisky-drenched voice bears a resemblance to Mark Lanegan’s, while the rhythm section of bassist Dave Jones and drummer Zach Hatsis back him up admirably with a bluesy swagger.
Metal Insider is excited to bring you “Spirit of the Staircase,” one of nine tracks from Pagan Fruit, which will be coming out this coming Tuesday (6) on Small Stone Records.
