Fans were disappointed when Black Sabbath announced that they were canceling all but one of their European dates. While it didn’t necessarily affect American fans, it did make us worry about Tony Iommi’s current condition. However, if what Sharon Osbourne says is true, Black Sabbath could pull it together for at least one show in the U.S.

In an interview with VH1 Radio Network’s Dave Basner, Sharon (Ozzy’s wife and manager) reportedly said the following:

“They’re gonna be doing one show in America this summer but I can’t say yet because we can’t announce it, the promoters have to, but they are doing one show in August here together.”

When asked about Bill Ward’s status in the group, Mrs. Osbourne (despite previously saying she had no role in Sabbath’s decisions) said the following:

“We don’t know yet, we really don’t know. It’s up to Bill. The door is open for him to join us, so it’s up to him.”

So not only will Sabbath most likely playing an American date in August, but there’s still a chance that Bill Ward can return to the fold? Let’s hope that both things will happen. We could speculate further as to where Black Sabbath might perform (seeing that they were rumored to be headlining Coachella, though, we’d guess another festival), but an official announcement will likely be made soon.
