The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 2026 “Performer” nominees, with Iron Maiden, Billy Idol, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, and The Black Crowes among the 17 artists in contention for induction. This year’s ballot also includes first-time nominees Jeff Buckley, Phil Collins, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, INXS, New Edition, Pink, Shakira, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan. Other returning or previously eligible acts on the list are Mariah Carey, and Sade.
Artists become eligible 25 years after the release of their first commercial recording. More than 1,200 artists, historians, and industry professionals will vote on the 2026 class, with official inductees set to be announced in April. Additional honors, including the Musical Influence, Musical Excellence, and Ahmet Ertegun Awards, will also be revealed at that time. Iron Maiden has been eligible for induction since 2004 and was previously nominated in 2021 and 2023.
