Last month, The Ocean revealed that they would be touring the U.S. as direct support for another band (who they couldn’t reveal at the time) following a tour in China. Sadly, those plans have now been scrapped due to last minute changes to the tour’s schedule.

The Ocean released the following explanation via Facebook:

“Today is a shit day. Our upcoming US tour just fell apart. We had been confirmed for quite a while for a direct support slot on a good 6-weeks US tour in October and November, and yesterday it was decided that this tour is now being postponed to late November into December. We are not available at that time. Our flights to the US have already been booked for weeks, and we’ve been left high and dry again… somehow we’re just not lucky over there it seems!”

This is very unfortunate news. Not only is The Ocean a stellar group live, but we also know the hassle and headaches that international bands have to go through to tour in the U.S. Apparently, the band is still looking for tour offers between October 9 and November 20. If you have a tour you’d like The Ocean to be a part of within that time frame, your best bet is to reach out to them via info@theoceancollective.com.
