Standout Moment(s):

Third time’s a charm for Swedish power metal legends Hammerfall. Their third appearance, and first return in nearly a decade, landed them prime set times on both appearances, and we were lucky to capture the chaos. The crowd was packed beyond capacity, with the Pool Deck show featuring a special guest appearance from Majestica’s Tommy Johansson (ex-Sabaton). From Joacim Cans sprinting across the stage to the constant engagement of the rest of the band, Hammerfall know how to deliver and keep the energy alive. From kicking off the chaos on night one to nearly closing out the Pool Deck on the final evening, their sets were a full-blown spectacle of crowd-surfers, hammer inflatables, and unstoppable energy.

What is the Artist Spotlight?

Well, it’s more than a review of their performance; as 70000tons goes, each band is a headliner, and we treat each one as such, giving them their own spread, discussing who they are and what they’ve been up to since the cruise. Each spotlight coincides with any updates from 70000tons organizers (if any), leading to days before setting sail. An extensive coverage like no other.
