The Charlotte Observer reports, Karl Logan, former Manowar guitarist, faces at least 25 years in prison after admitting in a federal courtroom earlier today (24th) in Charlotte, NC, that he downloaded and kept child pornography. Logan, 55, was arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography on August 9th, 2018, in Charlotte, NC, and was charged with six counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Logan’s alleged offenses took place between June 18th and August 2nd, 2018. The Charlotte Observer reports, U.S District Court records show, Logan was jailed after pleading guilty to two child-pornography counts. His sentencing date has not been scheduled at this time.
Manowar has since moved on as the group issued a statement on removing Logan as well as announcing his replacement. The band is currently working on releasing a live DVD from their performance at this year’s Heaven & Hell Metal Fest in Mexico, one of the last festivals that took place before music events were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
