A Polk County, Florida undercover child pornography sting has resulted in the arrest of 42 people. Among them was the former vocalist of Get Scared, Joel Faviere. Here’s what The Daily Ridge said of the singer’s arrest:

“27-year-old Joel Faviere of Lakeland – Detectives received information that someone operating a device located in Faviere’s home was sharing files that contain child pornography. Detectives responded to the home on Buck Run Drive, and during an on-scene preview of his computer equipment they seized, detectives found over 4,500 files containing child pornography, including images of infants and toddlers being sexually abused. Faviere told detectives he has been viewing child pornography for a year and that it “has become an addiction.”

Rockfeed.net says that among the charges he faces is “directing or promoting the sexual performance by a child,” which means he either produced child pornography or promoted it on the internet. The singer left Get Scared back in 2012, but has 50,000 YouTube subscribers and 50,000 Twitter followers, so he’s still got an online following. His Twitter page appears to been taken down, however. Faviere was in Get Scared for one EP, 2012’s Built For Blame, Laced With Shame. Current Get Scared vocalist Nick Matthews commented on Faviere’s charges on the band’s Facebook page:
