Another wave of cancellations/postponements have been announced as this year’s Rock And Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony is postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to Rolling Stone, the induction ceremony scheduled to take place on May 2nd at Cleveland’s Public Hall has officially been pushed to a later date.

RNRHOF President Joel Peresman issued the following statement:

“We are very disappointed to announce the postponement of this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Our first concern is to the health and safety of our attendees and artists and we are complying to the direction of the local and state authorities and common sense. We look forward to rescheduling the ceremony and will make that announcement at the earliest convenience.”

This year’s Hall of Fame class includes Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston T-Rex, and the Notorious B.I.G.

Kvelertak were forced to cancel the remaining dates of their European tour with Planet of Zeus, Blood Command, and Astro Saur:

After the Burial’s European tour was also cut short:

Due to the foreseen travel ban, we’ve been forced to cancel the remaining dates of our European tour with Make Them Suffer, Polar, and Spiritbox. It’s a horrible situation, and we wish it wasn’t the case, but unfortunately it has come down to this and we have to air on the safe side. We offer our apologies to all the fans that didn’t get to catch us on this tour, and we hope it won’t be too long until we can return.”

Parkway Drive have announced several of their upcoming EU shows in April were affected by the bans in most European countries, therefore their tour with Hatebreed, Stick To Your Guns and Venom Prison, is essentially out of their hands:

“To all our European fans,

As you have probably figured out by now, several of our upcoming EU shows in April will be directly affected by the bans most European countries have imposed on larger events.

We are doing our best to assess this rapidly changing situation and our team is working tirelessly behind the scenes to find the best possible solution to this, so we can bring the biggest Parkway Drive shows in our band’s history to your part of the world!

In the meantime, we would like to thank all of you for your messages and comments but ask you to please be patient for a few more days until we can give you more concrete information on how the ‘Viva The Underdogs’ European Revolution 2020 tour will continue.

Be safe and see you soon,

Winston, Luke, Jeff, Ben and Jia”

The Who were forced to postpone their UK and Ireland tour:

After serious consideration, it is with much regret that THE WHO have postponed their UK and Ireland Tour, due to start next Monday March 16th in Manchester at the Manchester Arena and finishing at Wembley SSE Arena on April 8th. The fans’ safety is paramount and given the developing Coronavirus situation, the band felt that they had no option but to postpone the shows.

The dates will be rescheduled for later in the year. All tickets will be honoured.

Singer Roger Daltrey assures fans that the shows will “definitely happen and it may be the last time we do a tour of this type, so keep those tickets, as the shows will be fantastic.”

Pete Townshend said the band, ”haven’t reached this decision easily, but given the concerns about public gatherings, we couldn’t go ahead.” He added that “if one fan caught Coronavirus at a WHO concert it would be one too many.”

Unfortunately, THE WHO will also be unable to appear at the Royal Albert Hall on March 28th as part of the annual Teenage Cancer Trust shows, but intend to reschedule that show also, with more news to follow.”
