Is 2020 the year for reunions? Perhaps seeing the return of Static-X has inspired other bands to reunite,or maybe it’s a coincidence. However, between Saliva, My Chemical Romance, and The Union Underground, we can only suggest next year is the year for bands to reunite. With that being said, Forbes has confirmed Rage Against The Machine will return next year for a handful of shows.
Wayne Kamemoto, a longtime associate of the band told Forbes:
“The Band’s social media is accurate.”
Meanwhile, on Monday (28th) the band themselves shared via Facebook:
“Subscribe and stay tuned for more live performances.”
Earlier this morning (1st), Rage Against the Machine shared the following tour dates via Social Media:
El Paso, TX March 26, 2020
Las Cruces, NM March 28, 2020
Phoenix, AZ March 30, 2020
Indio, CA April 10, 2020
Indio, CA April 17, 2020
According to Setlist.FM, Rage Against the Machine’s last live show was on July 30th, 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. Next year will also mark the twentieth anniversary of the band’s latest effort, 2000’s Renegades. Based on the group’s history and considering a major election will take place next year, we can only hope RATM will surprise us with a new album to show what has politically changed between 2000 to 2020.
