DevilDriver has announced that they will be dropping off from the fall 2019 leg of Static-X’s “Wisconsin Death Trip” 20th-anniversary tour. The band had also dropped out from the first-ever Megadeth Cruise. Frontman Dez Fafara will be taking care of his wife, Anahstasia as she battles her fight with cancer.
Dez went ahead and posted the following statement on his private instagram account:
“Hello everyone, my wife has been diagnosed with cancer.
“I will be staying home to care for her and be by her side every minute as she begins her cancer fight with surgery and further treatments.
“Apologies to all, but I’m sure you all understand that family comes before work.
“We thank you for all your well wishes at this time.”
Static-X has announced Mushroomhead & Drowning Pool have been added to the lineup for the upcoming trek.
The band issued the following statement:
“We’re very excited to announce @mushroomheadofficial and @drowningpoolofficial to our line up for the next run in America. DevilDriver unfortunately had to drop off due to unforeseen circumstances with family, we wish them well. Go to our Bandsintown page for more info!
