Quebec’s tech death superstars stopped at Reverb in Reading, Pennsylvania this past October 14, 2019 and gave the Central PA crowd an inspired performance of amazing musicianship.

With headless guitars in tow, Simon Girard and company, performed their latest (amazing) record, Algorythm in full. One of the strengths of this band is their technical precision and it was difficult to find nary a note missed in this performance, much to the delight of their dedicated fans who ventured out on a Monday evening.

To be quite honest, as I watched the performance, I was dazzled by the fact that they could play so fast and so skilled. It seemed all so easy to them. And clearly, they were having a great deal of fun – as they are not shy about smiling both at the fans and at each other as they play.

Highlights were “The Inversion,” “Algorythm,” but quite honestly, all their songs are pretty amazing – and I love their “blue whale” bass sound. You’ve got to hear it live! In fact, the entire rhythm section sounds particularly unmatched as of late – even within the tech death genre.

With the crowd demanding an encore, the band came out and performed their most noted hit, “Omnipresent Perception” from their debut record, The Aura.

Beyond Creation completes their tour this week, but there’s no doubt that we’ll be seeing and hearing more from these guys soon.  Catch some of their remaining shows here!
