We’ve seen Jeopardy! feature quite a few questions on metal, especially within the last year including Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Megadeth, Slayer, and KISS. Despite the game show’s support on metal music, it appears the number 666 is a forbidden wager.
According to Mashable, at least five numbers are banned from the show. Ken Jennings, the well-known contestant who has a record of a 74-consecutive-winning streak, has revealed contestants are no longer allowed to make a wager of $69. Jennings used to always bet the “sexy” number as he recently revealed to a fan how the number is forbidden to use on the show:

The news surfaced when a Twitter joke on James Holzhauer’s record-winning run, which surpassed one million dollars within fourteen games has somehow led to contestants sharing wagers that are presently banned.
Former contestants have confirmed the numbers via Reddit, which includes numbers referencing satan, sex, or Nazis. In addition to $666 (satan) and $69 (sex), other numbers include $14, $88, and $1488 have been banned due to being associated with white supremacist groups. While the previous contestant “can’t recall” if there were other numbers, they did mention $8008 nor $420 were mentioned on the list.
Last month, Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Trebek has recently provided an update expressing that he’s “feeling good” and looking forward to return for the 36th year of Jeopardy!
