“What happens when you put together members of Animals as Leaders, Lamb of God, Sworn Enemy and Attics For Automatics?” We’re about to find out.
Over It All, a new supergroup featuring Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) on vocals, Javier Reyes (Animals as Leaders) on bass, Lorenzo Antonucci (ex-Sworn Enemy) on guitar, JJ Cassiere (33 & West Booking Agency) and Baron Bodnar (Mediaskare Records), announced their formation late last week through Instagram. The post, made to Blythe’s account, featured a photo of the group in an RV together with the caption “The Nightmare Begins.” A more formal post on the band’s official Instagram account asked fans to stay tuned for more information.
That call to attention was satisfied just one day later with news that the band would be releasing an album this year via Sumerian Records. In an Instagram post from Friday, the band cleared up that the RV was not a tour bus, but a more efficient way to get all of the band’s busy members into the studio at the same time.
The group commented via Instagram:
“The dudes in this band all have such hectic schedules with everyone’s other projects that we thought it would be cool to get together & road trip it in one vehicle to the studio instead of just emailing stuff to each other- that’s not rocknroll!”
The band also put it to the fans to help brainstorm names for the album, mentioning numerous times in the post that they are open to suggestions.
With news of the new band, it looks like Blythe’s schedule will be rather full as Lamb of God will continue to support Slayer’s farewell tour later this spring as well as a handful of summer festival dates.
