Metallica’s North American tour kicks off on Monday (10) in Baltimore in support of their album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. Many haven’t seen them live since 2011’s Big Four Tour or possibly since 2009’s Death Magnetic tour. With that said, it’s more than just a show, it’s a major event for quite a few thousand die-hard fans. The band seems to sense this excitement and continue to provide surprises including their most recent triple LP release from their show at Webster Hall in NYC last year.
Today, the legends revealed “Now That We’re Live.” On the eve of their tour’s kickoff, the band will stream an exclusive Facebook Live feed on Tuesday, May 9 at 9:00 PM EST from the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
Metallica shared the following:
“We’re coming down the home stretch before the North American WorldWired tour starts in Baltimore next week and we are beyond excited to see all of you out there on our first proper tour of this part of the world since 2009. To kick off the celebrations, we’re inviting you to get a sneak peek of what to expect this summer by checking out our rehearsal the night before the first show via the magic of streaming video on Facebook Live. In a little show very cleverly titled “Now That We’re Live” we’ll bring rehearsals on Tuesday, May 9th live to your computer, tablet, mobile device or any other way you reach the internet at 9:00 PM EDT.”
It’s no secret that Metallica provides a brand new experience almost weekly at this point for their so-called “fifth members.” Those who are part of the Met-Club have a chance to see this live stream event in person. Details for this contest can be found here.
