The fate of AC/DC is still up in the air, especially since they don’t technically have a singer right now. Axl Rose did an admirable job of filling in for Brian Johnson, the leather-lunged vocalist of the band for 36 years, after he was forced to stop singing with the band or face total hearing loss. And while the door hasn’t totally closed on his singing career, as the one-year mark approaches of him leaving AC/DC, it appears Johnson has a new gig – the host of a travel show.

Brian Johnson’s Life on the Road will premiere on April 28th on the UK’s Sky Arts, and while he might not be doing anything with AC/DC right now, the program will focus on the rock and roll lifestyle and feature one guest per episode. The Who’s Roger Daltrey will be on the first episode, with Lars Ulrich, Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason, Sting, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and Robert Plant among the guests. There’s no word on if or when the show will make it’s way Stateside. Also unclear is the fate of AC/DC. Bassist Cliff Williams retired last year, leaving Angus Young the only remaining original member.

Here’s what Joe Elliott said about his appearance on the show:

“I was quite humbled to be invited to do it because the guests that he’s got on the show are quite extraordinary. We spent about eight hours shooting the show. We were walking around the Temple Bar area of Dublin in the rain and wind. It was cold and horrible but we did spend most of it indoors at The Porterhouse HQ where he sampled Joe Elliott’s Louder beer.”

Seems like it could be a fun one, even if AC/DC isn’t involved in it at all.
