Remember 2015? That was when Slayer released their album Repentless, and while it might not have been their most vital album when compared to the rest of the band’s catalog, at least we got three awesome and amazingly bloody videos out of it. The trilogy of videos centered around a mysterious man with an eyepatch that started a prison riot (in “Repentless”), with “You Against You” showing how he got to prison and “Pride in Prejudice” ending the trilogy with a bloody anti-neo-Nazi showdown.

We’ve known that Slayer:Repentless was coming for a while now, and this month, it will hit comic book stores via Dark Horse. It looks like the dark, bloody world that the video trilogy, directed by BJ McDonnell (Hatchet III) inhabited will be fleshed out on the pages of the comic. Rolling Stone debuted the first six pages of the book today, which was written by Jon Schnepp (Metalocalypse) and drawn by Twilight Zone comic artists Guiu Vilanova. In it, we meet Adrian and Wyatt, the latter of whom turns out to be the protagonist of the videos. The six pages shared look like a graphic novel version of the video, which is to say they’re gritty, violent, and NSFW if you’re not a big fan of gore. Check them out at RS, and pick up the comic when it’s available on January 25th.
