Foot issues notwithstanding, this is a hell of a banner year for Axl Rose. Not only are Guns N’ Roses back with Slash, but they’re touring this Summer, and from all indications so far, are playing shows that deliver more than GN’R shows have in years. Then the frontman was rumored to be the replacement for AC/DC’s Brian Johnson, which was a rumor so ridiculous that it had to be true. Turns out, he is, and with the band rehearsing in Lisbon, Portugal for a European tour that starts there this Saturday (7), there are enterprising fans sitting outside the rehearsal studio and getting crappy audio of the band rehearsing with Rose. We’ve heard snippets of “Shoot to Thrill” and “Thunderstruck” with Axl singing, and today, a new clip surfaced of the band rehearsing “Hell Ain’t a Bad Place To Be” and “Back In Black.” Granted, the audio sounds like it was recorded in a gym sock that’s in a trashcan that was under water, but you can definitely hear recognizable riffage from AC/DC and a voice that sounds a hell of a lot like Axl’s. What do you guys think?
