With the unfortunate trend of musicians passing away this last few months, those left behind can only find ways to honor their heroes in the best way they see fit. We saw Dave Grohl getting some new ink in tribute to Lemmy Kilmister, who has also been honored by having a drink named after him, and seems like Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea did the same for his friend and multi-talented artist David Bowie.

Flea posted the following video on his Instagram account, flaunting his brand new ink with a lyric excerpt from Bowie’s classic “Changes.” The bassist also shared pictures with Bowie himself and gave his thoughts regarding the death of the legend.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently in the studio finishing their newest album and, while there’s no information regarding its release date, the band has schedule a few summer festivals where they’ll be headlining, including Rock on the Range and BottleRock.

And these children that you spit on as they try to change their worlds.
