Ozzy Osbourne has a lot on his plate over the next few years. He’s certainly not slowing down in his old age. In addition to Ozzfest Japan this month, touring with Black Sabbath for much of the next year and working on a “really special” new album, he’s also going to be hosting a show on The History Channel with his son Jack. Yep, The Osbournes wasn’t enough to discourage the 68 year old from returning to the small screen. In an interview with Billboard, the Ozz man spoke about it:
Jack and I are doing a thing for the History Channel, like a father and son spoof on history. We went to Stonehenge and met a guy who thinks he’s the fucking reincarnation of King Arthur. And we went to Bletchley Park to see the machine [Alan Turing] used to break the [German] kind. We’re going to Mount Rushmore, to the abandoned silos where America used to have their Minutemen missiles and all that. It’s educational for me, actually — history with an Osbourne slant.
It would be tough to say that this would be educational, since Jack and Ozzy probably aren’t going to be dropping knowledge about the places the visit, but it could a fun travelogue. One other thing he should probably be working on before Ozzfest Japan and the Sabbath tour is singing in key, if this clip from the Voodoo Fest with Tom Morello of him playing “Bark at the Moon” is any indication of the rest of the set.
