YouTube user Rotehermi is a huge Iron Maiden fan from the looks of it. In fact, probably since he or she was playing with Lego. That’s probably the best way to describe how the fan project “Rock in Lego,” which sets Maiden’s version of “The Wicker Man” from the 2002 live album Rock in Rio to stop motion animation, happened. “I am listen to Maiden since i explored by interest for Music,” Rotehermi says in the description of the YouTube video. “IRON MAIDEN… is awesome!” Yes, we agree, but we also think that Rotehermi is awesome for taking the time to painstakingly recreate the original version of the song with Lego. It looks like he or she has been working on it for at least six years, according to the videos. Other previews show that they worked on a whole backdrop, with choreographed lights and everything. Was it worth all the time? Well, the video has made it to Metal Insider, so take that for what it’s worth.
