While details are still relatively scarce, Thy Will Be Done drummer Jay Waterman has suffered a cardiac arrest. The band shared the news earlier today on their Facebook page. “Out of respect for him and his Family and privacy, we were originally going to refrain from posting,” the message begins. “But, since his Family has already shared the news, we feel it is now appropriate to share. Last night, our Brother, our drummer Jay Waterman went into cardiac arrest. We ask that you please project Positive Thoughts, Love, Light, and Prayers his way as well as his Family’s way! He’s a fighter and I know he Loves each and every one of us because WE love him! He REALLY needs it!!! We will keep you posted. Until then, keep Jay Waterman in your thoughts. – TWBD.

According to the American Heart Association, getting immediate CPR from someone can double or triple their chances of survival once suffering cardiac arrest. Here’s hoping that someone that knew CPR was on hand, as there are some other sobering statistics on their website. Here’s hoping that Waterman hangs in there, and best wishes for a healthy recovery.
